What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored scrambled, never readable), ZIP code and town, and optionally a phone number and business name. For Titans: your service area, bio, ratings and any insurance certificate you upload.
- Job details: descriptions, addresses, access notes, prices, offers, messages between the two sides, ratings and reviews.
- Photos: before/after and dispute photos. We remove location (GPS) data from the copies we show to others, and keep the untouched originals only to resolve disputes.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank numbers. Titans give identity and bank details directly to Stripe for payouts.
- Basic usage data: pages visited, the link or campaign that brought you, browser type and IP address, used to keep the site secure and see which outreach works. We use one sign-in cookie per portal; no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: show jobs to nearby Titans, book jobs, hold and release payments, and resolve disputes.
- To email you about your account and jobs.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our terms and meet legal obligations.
- To improve the service.
Who sees it
- The other party to a job: after a job is booked, the customer and the Titan see each other's first name, contact details, the job address and the job photos. Before booking, Titans see only the town and the job description.
- Service providers who help us run Gig Titans: Stripe (payments and payouts), Google (email delivery), Cloudflare (website delivery and security), and our hosting. Each uses the data only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your phone number or text-messaging consent with anyone for their marketing.
Text messages
We text you only if you opt in. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep account and job records while your account is open, and for up to 7 years after a job for tax, payment and dispute records. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We'll delete what we're not required to keep.
Your choices
- Update your details in your account at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted: email [email protected].
- Turn off optional emails with the unsubscribe link.
Children
Gig Titans is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Security
Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to account data is limited. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you think your account was misused.
Changes
We'll post any update here with a new date, and tell you by email or on the site if it's a big change.
