Terms of Service
Gig Titans · a d/b/a of WOW with Obet LLC, an Indiana limited liability company · Last updated October 5, 2026
1. What Gig Titans is
Gig Titans is an online marketplace for local odd jobs: lawn mowing and leaf cleanup (Mow Titans), snow shoveling (Snow Titans), moving help, handyman tasks, errands, pet help, events and similar gigs. Customers post jobs; independent local service providers ("Titans") take them. Gig Titans provides the website, holds payment while a job is done, and handles the money. Gig Titans does not perform the work itself, does not employ Titans, and does not supervise or control how they do the work.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Customers and Titans have separate accounts. Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. How a job works
- Posting. A customer describes the job, its location and timing, and sets the price they are willing to pay (minimum $25). The customer pays the full amount plus the customer fee (section 5) when posting. Gig Titans holds that money; it is not paid to anyone yet.
- Offers. Titans near the job can offer to take it at the posted price, or offer their own price. The customer and Titan can counter (up to 3 rounds). The customer always decides. Nothing is booked until the customer accepts a Titan or an offer. If an accepted price is higher than what was paid, the customer pays the difference before work starts. If it is lower, the difference is refunded.
- Contact. Each side's address and contact details are shared only after the job is booked, and only with the other party to that job.
- Proof photos. The Titan uploads photos before starting and after finishing. A job cannot be submitted as done without them.
- Approval. The customer reviews the photos and approves, or opens a dispute (section 6). If the customer does not respond within 48 hours of the job being submitted, it is approved automatically and the Titan is paid.
- Payout. On approval, Gig Titans pays the Titan the agreed price minus the Titan fee, through Stripe. Titans must complete Stripe's payout setup to be paid.
4. Titans are independent
Titans are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of Gig Titans. They choose which jobs to take, set or negotiate their own prices, use their own tools and transportation, and decide how to do the work. They are responsible for their own taxes, licenses and permits. Insurance is optional (shown as a badge on your profile). Titans agree to:
- Do the work described, safely and lawfully, and only take jobs they are able to do.
- Respect the customer's property, pets and privacy.
5. Fees
| Who | Fee |
|---|---|
| Customer | A service fee added on top of the job price: 15% standard. Your first job's fee is waived (up to $50). |
| Titan | A service fee taken from the job price at payout: 15% standard. The first 50 Titans to join ("Founding") pay 10%. |
Fees can go down: after 10 positive ratings the fee drops by 1 point, then 0.1 point per further positive rating. Each qualifying referral (section 8) takes 0.1 point off. Negative ratings add 0.2 point each. A standard fee never goes below 10% or above 16%. Your current rate is always shown in your account. We may change fees for future jobs with notice on the site; changes never apply to a job already booked.
6. Disputes
If the work is not right, the customer can open a dispute instead of approving. The money stays held while it is open. Both sides can add photos and messages and make offers to settle. While a dispute is open:
- Each side must check in at least every 24 hours. A side that stops checking in for 24 hours forfeits the dispute.
- If both sides agree on an amount, it is paid out that way.
- A dispute still open after 14 days is split equally: each side gets half of the held amount, less 10% from each half as a dispute fee.
Gig Titans may review the photos and messages and make a final decision where the rules above don't settle it.
7. Cancellations and refunds
While no Titan has been booked, you can cancel a job yourself with the Cancel button on its page, and you get a full refund of the price and fee. Once a Titan is booked, email [email protected]. We'll work it out with both sides, and the dispute rules apply if you can't agree. If you accept an offer lower than what you paid, the difference is refunded to you. Refunds go back to the original payment method and can take 5–10 business days to appear.
8. Referrals
Every account has a personal invite link. When someone who joined through your link pays for and approves a job (customers), or finishes a paid job (Titans), your fee drops by 0.1 point, down to a 10% minimum. Referrals earn fee discounts only, never cash. Referring yourself, or jobs between accounts you control, doesn't count. We may remove discounts gained by abuse. We may run optional monthly prizes for top promoters; any prize rules will be posted on the leaderboard.
9. Not allowed
- Work that needs a state license: electrical, gas, plumbing, HVAC or roofing
- Childcare or babysitting
- Medical, nursing or personal care
- Driving passengers
- Anything illegal
- Harassment, discrimination, threats or unsafe conduct
- Arranging or paying for a job you found on Gig Titans outside of Gig Titans to avoid fees
- Fake accounts, fake ratings or fake photos
We may remove posts, hold payouts tied to suspected fraud, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
10. Ratings, photos and content
After a job, both sides can rate each other. Ratings and reviews must be honest. You keep ownership of photos and messages you upload. You give Gig Titans permission to store and show them to the other party to the job, and to use them to run the service and resolve disputes. We do not publish job photos publicly without permission.
11. Liability
Gig Titans is a marketplace. The contract for the work is between the customer and the Titan. Gig Titans is not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of the work, or for injury, loss or property damage, except where the law doesn't allow us to disclaim it. The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Gig Titans's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Gig Titans in the 12 months before the claim. You agree to cover Gig Titans's losses from claims caused by your own breach of these terms or your own conduct.
12. Messages from us
We send emails about your account and jobs (new jobs near you, offers, receipts, reminders to approve). You can turn off optional emails in your account or by using the unsubscribe link. We send text messages only if you separately opt in, and you can reply STOP at any time.
13. Changes, closing your account, and law
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and big changes will be announced on the site or by email. You can close your account at any time by emailing us; held payments still settle under these terms. These terms are governed by Indiana law, and any dispute with Gig Titans will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Indiana.
